Working together
Terms & conditions
Last updated August 26, 2026
Website policy draft for final legal review before public launch. A signed proposal, statement of work, or project agreement controls any client engagement where its terms differ.
Agreement to these terms
By using this website, submitting an inquiry, accepting a proposal, or purchasing services from Keeper Of Tales, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. A signed proposal, statement of work, invoice, or other written project agreement may contain additional terms and will control if there is a conflict.
Services and project scope
We provide book strategy, coaching, writing, ghostwriting, editing, cover and interior design, production, publishing support, metadata, distribution guidance, author branding, and related creative services. Each engagement's deliverables, schedule, review rounds, responsibilities, and fees are defined in writing before work begins.
Author responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate information, timely feedback and approvals, and materials needed to complete the work. You confirm that you own or have permission to use every manuscript, image, quotation, trademark, reference, or other item you provide and that those materials do not violate another party's rights.
Revisions and changes
Included revision rounds are specified in the project agreement. Revisions must remain within the approved scope and creative direction. New deliverables, substantial rewrites, direction changes, or requests made after approval may require a revised schedule and additional fees.
Timelines and delivery
Project dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. The schedule may change when materials, feedback, approvals, payments, or platform decisions are delayed. Third-party review times, printing schedules, retailer processing, and distribution availability remain outside our control.
Payments
Deposits, installments, milestones, and final balances are described in the applicable proposal or invoice. We may pause work when a payment is overdue. Final production files, publishing handoffs, account transfers, or releases may be withheld until all amounts due are paid.
Ownership and intellectual property
Upon full payment, ownership of the final client deliverables transfers only as stated in the written project agreement. Keeper Of Tales retains its pre-existing methods, tools, templates, know-how, unused concepts, working files, and any materials not expressly included. Third-party fonts, photographs, software, or other licensed assets remain subject to their respective licenses.
Website content and brand assets
The Keeper Of Tales name, visual identity, original website copy, artwork, graphics, layouts, animations, case-study presentation, and other original materials on this website are owned by Keeper Of Tales or used under license. Except for ordinary personal browsing, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, distribute, publicly display, create a confusingly similar presentation from, or remove ownership notices from these materials without prior written permission.
Automated access and content use
Systematic downloading, scraping, mirroring, cloning, framing, dataset creation, model training, or automated extraction of this website's original content or design assets is not permitted without prior written permission. This restriction does not prohibit ordinary assistive technology, security research conducted lawfully and without harm, or verified search services that respect our technical directives and use content only to index, link to, and display brief excerpts. Our machine-readable content signals form part of these stated permissions, but do not grant broader rights.
Publishing platforms
Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books, printers, payment providers, and other external services operate under their own rules, pricing, review processes, and availability. Keeper Of Tales is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these platforms.
Confidentiality and portfolio use
We take reasonable steps to protect confidential manuscripts and project information. Public display of a completed book, cover, testimonial, or case study will be handled according to the project agreement or the client's written approval.
No guaranteed outcome
We apply professional care to every engagement, but we cannot guarantee retailer acceptance, sales, rankings, reviews, awards, media coverage, revenue, or any other commercial result. Editorial and publishing information on this website is general guidance and not legal, tax, or financial advice.
Enforcement and reporting
We may restrict automated traffic, preserve evidence of suspected misuse, and pursue available remedies for infringement, deceptive impersonation, or unauthorized commercial exploitation. To report copied Keeper Of Tales material or a misleading use of our identity, email info@keeperoftales.com with the relevant URLs and screenshots.
Cancellation
Cancellations and refund requests are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy and any project-specific agreement.
